Organisations, enterprises, agents, and the Local Government develop nowadays their activities in a complex political, economical and social environment. The increasing complexity of the problems and the chances create the need for new, more specialised training and communication services as well as a strategy of building new methods and learning tools. Strategy and communication in connection with education and training as well as the knowledge and implementation of new methods in the training procedure are of vital importance.
These new needs are covered by KEPA Pieria, the first educational and training company in Pieria.
The organisation utilises the accumulated experience of the staff and personnel in the following fields: education, organisation and management of training projects. At the same time its tried co-operations allow KEPA to cover sufficiently the whole range of educational, research, organisational, communicational and marketing activities that are necessary for the realisation of any integrated training strategy.
KEPA’ s organisation is based on the educational model centres of Europe and covers with its activities, in addition to the Region of Central Macedonia, the Balkan countries and Cyprus.
KEPA offers educational and training services as well as researches, studies with the consequent strategy of development, organisation and realisation of projects in organisations, the Local Government (Municipalities, Associations, Regional Councils), social and professional organisations and enterprises which are engaged in the field of educational and training provided by KEPA. KEPA satisfies the first and most important need of the enterprises, organisations and other agents: It provides training, communicates, educates executives, develops and utilises creatively the human resources by means of constant and specialised training. Time is money and therefor the strenuous efforts to look for specialised partners and executives are not enough.
Labour policy and the increasing needs in human resources require the existence of a strategy and communication in order to foster and explain the development character of the development agents, to built a positive public image.
KEPA recomends smart, original and effective policies and communication strategies which result from researches and studies of the labour relations and the employment conditions in Pieria.
KEPA serves a necessary labour policy from 1992 to date. Its executives have an accumulated experience in research, training, employment, environmental protection, management of human resources, transnational exchanges, advertisement and communication.

KEPA’ s long-term goal is to interlink the local agents in a network of local economic, social and development organisations with the aim to provide high quality training in employment and accessing the labour market.
These agents are:
The Local Government of the Prefecture, Folk Education Committee of the Prefecture of Pieria, Development Associations, Regional Councils, Private Enterprises, EVE, Hotelier’ s Union of Pieria, Tourist Agencies’ Association of Pieria, Chamber of Pieria, Katerini Labour Centre, Development Companies, Union of Pontic Returners Prefecture of Pieria and other social agents.
For the next two years 1998-1999 KEPA has taken over the realisation of the INTEGRA programme building skills. The budget amounts to 106.000.000 Drachmas in the Region of Pieria with ten different co-operating local agents.
